The Environmental Dose Reconstruction Visualization Projects consisted of building several GIS online-mapping applications that allow viewers to explore spatial data from environmental dose studies. These studies were performed to monitor the environmental health on areas around Department of Energy facilities.
Hanford Dose Reconstruction
The Hanford Dose Reconstruction application depicts airborne concentrations of iodine-131, as represented by shading on the map of the study area. Resulting doses to the thyroid of representative individuals are provided for each of the locations (1102 sectors) within the HEDR study area.
Rocky Flats Dose Reconstruction
This application depicts airborne concentrations of respirable-sized plutonium particles.
Oak Ridge Dose Reconstruction
This application allows viewers to view spatial and tabular data from the detailed dose reconstruction analyses focused on past releases of radioactive iodine (I-131), mercury (Hg), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and uranium (U-234/235, U-238) related to historical Oak Ridge operations.
