Hello GIS supporters....

Well, we are moving right along here and the most important
items I need your assistance on...

1) I need to fill up the Hyatt, I have to release rooms after Jan. 18th, so please tell everyone you know to stay at the Hyatt and book by Jan. 18th ph: 916-443-1234 ask for "California GIS Conference" rate of $149

2) We have 128 people registered so far for the conference, only about 22 for workshops. So we need to get people registered. They can call 800-442-4990 and push 0 for the operator and say they want to register, or register on-line at : www.calgis.org cost is $185. I AM ENCOURAGING PEOPLE TO REGISTER BY JAN. 30TH FOR PRIORITY REGISTRATION. I cannot be registering hundreds same day, so we need people to pre-register.

3) We are doing better on sponsors, we have about 28 sponsors to date and total revenue of $61,000, but we want $90,000, so we need more. All sponsors questions come to me. To sponsor, they only need to fill out the sponsor contract on-line www.calgis.org and mail with check to me.

4) Our abstracts are coming along great we have about 64. I am working magic on putting them in the matrix. Hope to have final sessions listed on website by month's end.

5) I am working with sponsors on the Exhibit Hall

6) I am looking for people for the following: 1) to help Tuesday night, bag stuffing and other fun items 2) Wed, to register for pre-conference 3) Thursday morning for registration 6:00 a.m to 10:00 a.m. I will work with someone that will help. If they work 5 hours they can attend that day conference.
