Virtuality in Landscape Architecture

Second International Conference of the Master of Landscape Architecture Program at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences


Anhalt University of Applied Sciences is pleased to announce its newly developed, tuition-free, two year, post-graduate program in landscape architecture, leading to the degree Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA). One of the goals of this MLA program is to further prepare young landscape architects for the challenge of using new media such as emerging digital imaging, landscape simulation, geographic information tools and 3-D modeling in landscape architecture prac ce. With this in mind, we invite you to join our second international conference "Virtuality in Landscape Architecture", on May 3rd and 4th, 2001 at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, Germany. The conference is organized in co-operation with Dr. Eckar Lange, ETH Zurich, who held the international conference called "Our Visual Landscape" in 1999. If you are interested in contributing to this conference as a speaker, you may submit a one to two page outline of your proposed lecture until February 15th, 01.

Papers should be submitted for one of the following conference themes:
A.) 4-D GIS applications
B.) Game software use in visualizations of landscapes
C.) Movement in virtual landscapes
D.) Web-based communication in planning
