Silk Road Demo

Greetings ECAI Affiliates and Friends,

In conjunction with the visit of Yo Yo Ma to the Bay Area, celebrating music of the Silk Road, Cal Performances, ISEEES, CCAsP, the Department of Near Eastern Studies, the Department of Music, and the Department of Art History are sponsoring a conference "Musical Travels Along the Silk Road" April 22 and a workshop on Silk Road music April 23. The events will be held in Hertz Hall on the UC Berkeley campus. The conference schedule can be found at this URL:

Conference Schedule

The conference is free and open to the public. ECAI will provide a demo of its Silk Road Atlas as part of the conference on April 22. ECAI will also sponsor demonstrations of the Atlas at selected Cal Performances by Yo Yo Ma and silk road musicians. The concert URL is
