The first major exhibition of art from Ayutthaya to travel to the US
is currently on view at the Asian Art Museum. This talk, by one the
authors of museum catalog essays, explores the place of Ayutthaya in
the international community, and the cultural effects of the
encounter between Siam and Europeans.
